So, will tablets take over the world, and perhaps replace laptops and computers all together?  Well, I hardly doubt that that will happen, especially anytime soon.  Tablets are cool and all and it can be eye candy to show off to all your friends, but I don't think we'll get rid of computers and laptops just yet. The one important drawback for a tablet is the presence of a physical keyboard. You can get a lot of things done more quickly and more accurately with a physical keyword. I am even typing this post on a physical keyword. Well, how about if you buy a keyboard that attaches to the tablet?  Well, I think that if you want to carry a tablet around along with the keyboard attachment, you would be better off just getting a netbook.  It has the best of both worlds and can do more things on it.  With the exception of touch, of course, which will definitely be coming in the near future.

So what can you really do with a tablet, you might be asking? Well, they are good for surfing the web, checking your email, playing games, downloading apps and maybe reading some ebooks.  There are a tons of things you can do, but also a tons of things that you can't do, unless you are on a laptop. One of the things that a laptop has advantage over a tablet, is computing power.  It maybe obvious, but some things just won't run on a tablet without the computing power of a laptop.  Another advantage, is the programs that a desktop or a laptop can run. These aren't just apps, but full programs, which uses the full potential of a computer and not a tablet. But of course tablets are excellent for reading ebooks. I recently downloaded an ebook called the Jump Manual, which teaches you how to jump higher in a matter of months. I have to admit, I was impressed with the information.  I have actually tried the program itself, and have increased by vertical leap by quite some bit.  I do play basketball after all and I thought that an increase in vertical leap will help me out.  You can also read the Jump Manual and get an increase in your vertical jump yourself.  It's a great ebook with tons of material and it is just perfect for your tablet or even your smartphone.  Of course, there are other things you can do on your tablet, such as watching video on the go.  I think that's one of the main selling points of tablets. The awesome videos that they can provide with their big screens.  A big advantage over smartphones.

So where do smartphones come in?  Well, I believe that in the future, smartphones and tablets will end up being integrated into each other. Yup, a smartphone and tablet into one.  And who knows, maybe a smartphone, a tablet, AND a computer all in one.  You never know where technology can take us.  One minute we're on earth, the next we can be on Mars.  Well, that's it for now, hope you got something out of this post.
